Hellenic Red Cross to host health prevention event in Heraklion

The Hellenic Red Cross will participate in the 13th Congress of the Cooperative of Pharmacists of the Aegean and Crete by hosting a two-day health and prevention event in Heraklion. Scheduled for September 11 and 12, 2026, at Eleftherias Square, the initiative aims to provide free health interventions, awareness, and psychosocial support to the local population.

The program includes specialized sessions on breast cancer prevention, featuring clinical examinations, consultations, and prescriptions for diagnostic imaging such as mammographies and ultrasounds. Additionally, the event will address chronic disease management and sexual health, offering free rapid tests for HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and syphilis, as well as blood glucose and blood pressure checks. Medical professionals, including general practitioners, gynecologists, and mastologists, will be available to provide interactive education and support.
