HelleniQ Energy launches women‑empowerment centers in Athens, Thessaloniki and Komotini

HelleniQ Energy is expanding its corporate‑social‑responsibility programme to support vulnerable women in Greece. In Athens the group helped create the Women’s Empowerment Centre “Athena” inside the Open Polyclinic of Doctors of the World. The centre will operate year‑round, offering a safe environment, educational workshops, health promotion activities and professional‑career counselling for more than 250 women each year.

The initiative also reaches Thessaloniki and Komotini. In Thessaloniki volunteers are being trained to assist the Orthodox Metropolis of Neapoli‑Stavroupoli with food‑safety and hygiene projects, while in Komotini workshops focus on basic digital and professional skills. HelleniQ Energy expects the 2026 actions to benefit at least 400 women, adding to roughly 2,000 beneficiaries over the past three years.

“Η διαχρονική συμβολή της HelleniQ Energy, στην ενδυνάμωση των γυναικών αποτελεί μια συνειδητή επιλογή… ώστε οι ωφελούμενες να έχουν την δυνατότητα να διεκδικήσουν μία θέση στην αγορά εργασίας,” said Georgía Lasanianou, Director of Corporate Responsibility. “Ο χώρος αυτός θα αποτελέσει ένα ασφαλές καταφύγιο για γυναίκες που χρειάζονται στήριξη και ενδυνάμωση,” added Eugenía Thánou, General Director of Doctors of the World.
