HELLENiQ Renewables installs first turbine at Ansthall wind farm

HELLENiQ Renewables, a subsidiary of HELLENiQ ENERGY, has installed the first of 15 planned turbines at the 96 MW Ansthall wind farm in Galați County, Romania. The project utilizes Vestas turbines featuring a rotor diameter of 162 meters and a hub height of 134 meters.

Construction is progressing following the completion of all 15 foundations, access roads, and the 33 kV internal cable network. Depending on weather conditions, two additional turbines are expected to be installed by mid-August. The wind farm is scheduled to enter commercial operation in 2027.

The project marks HELLENiQ ENERGY’s expansion into Romanian onshore wind power. The company’s renewable energy portfolio under development in Romania currently exceeds 850 MW, including wind, solar, and energy storage projects. This follows the earlier launch of 58 MW of photovoltaic capacity in Teleorman and Olt counties, with an additional 153 MW of solar projects expected to be operational in 2026.
