HellMetall releases music video for WWI-themed title track ‘Mgła’

Italian thrash/death metal band HellMetall has released the official music video for ‘Mgła’, the title track of their upcoming second album. The album is scheduled for release on September 4, 2026, via Rockshots Records.

Directed by Chiara Bettiga, the video accompanies a song that explores historical themes from the First World War. Specifically, ‘Mgła’ (meaning ‘fog’) references gas attacks conducted by Austro-Hungarian and German forces against Italian soldiers near Plezzo, located in present-day Bovec, Slovenia.

The band’s work is deeply rooted in the history and culture of Val Resia, a mountain valley near the borders of Italy, Austria, and Slovenia. A defining characteristic of HellMetall is their use of Resian, a local Slavic language, in their lyrics. Musically, the new material marks an evolution toward a darker sound, blending thrash and death metal with black metal elements while maintaining melodic influences from traditional Resian music.
