Helmond hosts meeting on monument sustainability

A themed meeting regarding the sustainability of historical monuments will be held on Tuesday, October 13, in Helmond. Organized by EnergieHuis Slim Wonen, local municipalities, and Monumentenwacht Brabant, the event aims to provide practical information for monument owners on how to combine maintenance with energy-saving measures.

Participants will learn about the possibilities for roof repairs, window maintenance, and painting, as well as how to navigate energy label requirements and permit regulations. The session will include a presentation from a local monument owner sharing personal experiences, followed by an information market where experts and municipal representatives will be available to discuss specific situations. The event will take place at the Jan van Brabant College Aula in a former church building, which is itself a monument.
