Helmond to host international wheelchair handball tournament

The VEKA Sporthal in Helmond will host an international wheelchair handball tournament on Saturday, October 10. Six teams from the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany will compete as part of the Maas-Rijn League.

Participating teams include the Dutch clubs Swift Helmond, HV Zephyr, and BFC, alongside Belgium’s Cap2Sports and Germany’s BTB Rolling Bandits and ASV Rolli Rockets. For the local team, Swift Helmond, the event serves as a significant home match to gain competitive experience against more established opponents.

The tournament was originally scheduled for June 28 but was postponed due to extreme heat. The matches are scheduled to take place between 09:30 and 17:00.
