Helmstedt Waldbad Open-Air festival kicks off; Heavysaurus announces new album and tour
On Saturday, 8 August, the Waldbad Birkerteich in Helmstedt, Germany, opened its open‑air music festival at 16:00. The lineup featured the local band Kraftzwerge, newcomer G‑b Karl, Project Z, Worthy/Zeplin, Blaues Wunder, Zehn 53, PX, Heatin’ Tubes and a Bitch Party finale at 23:30. Tickets cost €12 in advance or €15 at the door; children under 14 enter free. The pool closed to swimmers at 14:00, glass bottles were prohibited and security bag checks were performed. A follow‑up Waldbad disco is scheduled for 22 August.
Child‑friendly metal group Heavysaurus performed on the Harder Stage at Wacken Open Air, where children under six were allowed with a guardian. The band released the single “Luftgitarre” and announced a new studio album, “Mission Dino Power,” due 5 February 2027. An extensive tour across North‑Rhine Westphalia was also revealed, with dates in Wipperfürth, Monheim, Essen, Mönchengladbach, Dinslaken, Bestwig, Dortmund, Bochum, Oberhausen, Siegen, Hilden and Wuppertal. Tickets start at €48 for adults, €39 for children and €146 for families; a €1 per‑ticket donation supports the charity Die Arche.
