Helping Hands program launches healthcare training in Northern B.C

The Helping Hands project, a new free training program, has been launched to prepare individuals facing employment barriers for careers in healthcare administration in northern British Columbia. Located in Prince George, the initiative is delivered by Kopar Administration Ltd. in partnership with the College of New Caledonia.

The program is supported by an investment of nearly $600,000 from the British Columbia provincial government, in collaboration with the Government of Canada through the Canada-British Columbia Labour Market Development Agreement. It aims to support up to 30 participants across two intakes, specifically targeting Indigenous people, young adults, youth at risk, and survivors of violence.

In addition to occupational skills training and industry-recognized certifications, the project provides workplace experience and connects local employers with job-ready candidates to address workforce needs in the region.
