Helsinki family relocates to Tuusula over school safety concerns

A family has relocated from Helsinki's Itäkeskus district to Tuusula due to safety concerns and the perceived instability of the local learning environment. The move was prompted by the son's refusal to attend middle school in Itäkeskus, following an emotional reaction to the news of his upcoming enrollment.

The mother reported that the high concentration of students with foreign backgrounds and instances of aggressive behavior among certain peer groups made the environment untenable for her son. She noted that the boy struggled to find social connections and feared potential confrontations as bullies transitioned into the middle school. While the family praised the responsiveness of their previous primary school in Roihuvuori regarding bullying, they felt moving was necessary to ensure their son's well-being and educational progress.
