Helvetia Caser reports growth in non-life insurance premiums

Helvetia Caser reported a 2.1% increase in non-life insurance premiums during the first half of the year, reaching 973.2 million euros. This growth was driven by tariff updates and strong performance in the agricultural sector.

The group's ordinary profit in Spain grew by 9.5% to 109.2 million euros, supported by life insurance results and favorable financial outcomes. Net profit reached 112.2 million euros, an increase of 28.6 million euros compared to the previous year, aided by investment capital gains.

Despite the growth, the non-life combined ratio rose to 93.1% from 92.3% in the previous period, due to higher claims resulting from storms earlier in the year. CEO Juan Estallo noted that the company is focused on building a complete value proposition through a combination of insurance and services.
