Helwan mother investigated after son's death

Authorities in Helwan are investigating a case involving a mother and her partner following the death of her son. According to investigations by the Helwan Prosecution, the mother admitted to having a relationship with a man named Jaser S., who had been living in the marital home since May 2026.

The investigation details a pattern of violence. The mother testified that during one incident, Jaser physically assaulted the child, Mustafa, after a dispute regarding a gas stove. In a subsequent incident, the child was locked in a room with the partner, who reportedly beat him and used a lighter and cigarettes to burn the boy's body. The child was found in significant pain following these encounters.
