Hema Malini shares Janmashtami dance ballet ‘Radha Raas Bihari’

Bollywood actress Hema Malini shared a video on social media celebrating Janmashtami by showcasing a glimpse of her renowned dance ballet, ‘Radha Raas Bihari’. In the performance, she portrays the role of Radha through classical dance movements, dressed in traditional attire and jewelry, accompanied by a performer playing Krishna.

The ballet is a significant part of her career, using classical dance to depict the themes of love, devotion, and the relationship between Radha and Krishna. Malini, who began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of five under the guidance of her mother, Jaya Chakravarti, has also trained in Kuchipudi under the famous guru Vempati Chinna Satyam and studied Odissi.

In recent reflections on her dance journey, Malini noted that actress Rekha also attended the same dance classes in Chennai during their youth.
