HEMOSC blood center in Santa Catarina opens staff vacancies and urges donors

The Fundação de Apoio ao HEMOSC e CEPON announced three temporary hiring processes for the Hemocentro Regional of Santa Catarina (HEMOSC). Positions include a biologist/biochemist/pharmacist/biomedicist in Florianópolis, a laboratory assistant in Florianópolis and a nurse in Blumenau, with salaries up to R$ 5,171.98 and CLT contracts lasting 8‑9 months. Applications are accepted from 22 to 26 June 2026.

At the same time, the HEMOSC unit in Joaçaba issued an appeal for blood donors, noting a sharp drop in scheduled donations for the current and upcoming week. The centre stressed the need for all blood types, especially A and O, to maintain supplies for surgeries, oncology treatments and emergencies. Donations can be scheduled via the centre’s website or by phone, and the facility is located at Avenida XV de Novembro, 23 in Joaçaba.
