Hendrick Motorsports faces setbacks at Iowa Speedway after Larson-Bowman collision

A collision during a four-wide battle at Iowa Speedway resulted in a difficult race for Hendrick Motorsports. On Lap 148, Kyle Larson made contact with teammate Alex Bowman after being shuffled toward the outside by John Hunter Nemechek.

The impact sent both Hendrick cars into the outside wall. Bowman's race ended due to severe damage, while Larson's No. 5 Chevrolet suffered a broken right-rear toe link and front-end damage. Larson's team attempted repairs, but he eventually fell 16 laps behind, finishing 33rd.

During the incident, Larson expressed frustration toward Nemechek, who reportedly stated he had downshifted and got stuck in neutral. Larson responded sarcastically to this explanation, saying, "Cool. Cool. Professional."
