Hendrik Epping completes mountain bike World Championship despite technical issues

Hendrik Epping, representing RSC Dorsten and Germany, completed the Mountain Bike Marathon World Championship in the Italian Dolomites despite significant technical difficulties. During the race, Epping faced multiple setbacks, including a defective tire and a broken seatpost, while navigating 4,000 meters of elevation gain.

Although the 29-year-old finished in 84th place, which was below his initial expectations, he expressed pride in successfully reaching the finish line despite the obstacles. Epping traveled to the event from Freiburg with minimal support, assisted primarily by a long-time friend managing technical and organizational needs.
