Hendrik Lewerissa emphasizes governance synergy and human development in Maluku

Maluku Governor Hendrik Lewerissa has emphasized the importance of synergy between the provincial government, the regional parliament (DPRD), and the community to drive regional development and public service improvements.

During a plenary session at the DPRD Maluku office, Lewerissa committed to addressing recommendations from various parliamentary factions regarding the 2025 regional budget accountability report. He noted that these inputs are essential for evaluating government performance and refining future administrative steps. He also requested legislative support for the 2026 budget amendments and the 2027 regional budget to ensure effective policy implementation.

In a separate event in Saparua, Central Maluku, Lewerissa participated in the cornerstone laying ceremony for the Pastori Sekretaris Klasis GPM Pulau-pulau Lease. He remarked that physical construction must be accompanied by human development, noting that religious institutions play a vital role in character building and social cohesion. He expressed hope that the facility would be completed in time for the anniversary of the Protestant Church of Maluku (GPM) next year.
