Hendrikje Balsmeyer announces musical comeback with Studio 3

Hendrikje Balsmeyer, wife of German musician Peter Maffay, has announced her return to the music stage through a new project called ‘Studio 3’. Balsmeyer, a children's book author, previously sang in a cover band before her musical activities took a backseat following a move to Bavaria in 2016.

The decision to return to performing was reportedly inspired by her seven-year-old daughter, Anouk, who questioned why her mother does not hold concerts like her father. Balsmeyer will perform alongside Annika Doherty and Jens Gilles.

The trio is scheduled to perform on December 19 at the ‘Beccult’ in Pöcking, located at Lake Starnberg. The event is described as more than a traditional concert, featuring hits from several decades, personal stories, and private photo and video footage. Attendees will be asked to refrain from filming or taking photographs during the performance.
