Hengki Haryadi arrives in Sorong to lead Southwest Papua Police

Brigadier General Hengki Haryadi, the Regional Police Chief of Southwest Papua, arrived in Sorong on Wednesday morning, September 9, 2026. He was received at Domine Eduard Osok (DEO) Airport by the Deputy Regional Police Chief, Kombes Pol. Fernando Sanches Napitupulu, along with senior officials from the Southwest Papua Regional Police and members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).

His arrival is intended to serve as a momentum for internal police consolidation and to strengthen synergy with local government, the military (TNI), religious leaders, and traditional community figures. The primary objective of this leadership transition is to maintain public order and security (Kamtibmas) and to ensure stability throughout the Southwest Papua region.
