Henkel completes €2.1 billion acquisition of Stahl Group
Henkel has finalized its acquisition of the Dutch coatings manufacturer Stahl Group, a deal valued at €2.1 billion (approximately US$2.48 billion). The integration became effective on 1 October 2026, following regulatory approvals and the acquisition of a majority interest from the French private equity firm Wendel.
Through this transaction, Henkel expands its Adhesive Technologies business unit by adding specialty coatings for flexible and rigid packaging, as well as solutions for the mobility, luxury, and fashion sectors. This marks Henkel’s third major acquisition in its adhesive division this year, following the purchases of ATP Adhesive Systems and Wetherby Laroc.
In related financial news, DZ Bank recently adjusted its fair value target for Henkel shares from 88.00 to 84.00 euros, while maintaining a ‘Buy’ rating. Henkel also reported a 3.20 percent increase in organic revenue for the first half of 2026, reaching 10.3 billion euros, and raised its organic revenue growth forecast for the full year to between 1.50 and 3.50 percent.
