Hennebont storage hangar destroyed by fire following boat engine explosion

A fire destroyed a storage hangar in Hennebont, France, on Saturday, August 22, 2026. The blaze reportedly began around 6:00 PM in the Ty Mor zone following the explosion of a boat engine during repairs.

The hangar, measuring approximately 600 square meters and containing about fifty individual storage units, was heavily impacted. Firefighters responded to the scene and managed to contain the flames, which affected 27 storage boxes located along a central aisle.
