Henny Reents departs ‘Nord bei Nordwest’ series

Actress Henny Reents departed from the long-running German crime series ‘Nord bei Nordwest’ in 2020, leading to the death of her character, Lona Vogt. Reents, who played the village police officer in Schwanitz for six years and eleven cases, chose not to renew her contract to pursue new professional challenges, stating she felt her character's development was complete.

The series, which has aired on Das Erste since 2014, recently celebrated its 30th case. Other characters in the series have also faced permanent exits, including Timo Karstensen and Simon Rost.
