Henri Anier suffers leg injury during Paide Linnameeskond match

Paide Linnameeskond striker Henri Anier sustained a serious left leg injury during a Premium Liiga match against Nõmme United. The injury occurred in the 40th minute of the game, forcing Anier to leave the pitch immediately.

Paide's sports director, Gert Kams, stated that Anier is scheduled for an MRI scan on Tuesday to determine the extent of the damage. Kams expressed doubt regarding Anier's ability to participate in the upcoming national team training camp, noting that the striker's intuition suggests he will not be fit to play.

The injury adds to a growing list of absences in the Estonian national team's attacking line, as players Rauno Sappinen, Tony Varjund, Marten-Chris Paalberg, and Mark Anders Lepik are also currently sidelined with various injuries.

In the match itself, Paide defeated Nõmme United 3-1. Despite a 59th-minute equalizer from 16-year-old Ivan Krasnov, Paide secured the win through a Henrik Ojamaa penalty and a goal by Juan Sebastian Palacios Murillo.
