Henrik Kristoffersen reveals wife's rare medical complication

Norwegian alpine skier Henrik Kristoffersen has shared details regarding a rare medical complication experienced by his wife, Tonje, following the birth of their second child in late July.

While the delivery itself proceeded without issue, Tonje developed a rare blood clot in a fallopian tube vessel shortly afterward. Kristoffersen noted that although the situation was not life-threatening or extremely dramatic, he experienced significant fear for her well-being.

Medical staff responded quickly, administering blood-thinning medication approximately ninety minutes after the diagnosis. Tonje remained hospitalized for observation for several days and continued taking medication for several weeks. She has since returned home. The couple decided to speak publicly about the incident to share their experience rather than to seek sympathy.
