Henrique Arantes withdraws from Goiás federal deputy race

Henrique Arantes, a former state deputy representing the PSDB, has announced his resignation from the race for federal deputy in Goiás. Following a period of reflection and discussions with family and allies, Arantes stated that his decision is not an abandonment of his political goals, but rather a shift in focus.

Arantes will transition to a new role within the political campaign of Marconi Perillo, the PSDB candidate for governor of Goiás, where he will assist in political coordination during the final stages of the election. He urged his supporters to concentrate their efforts on Perillo’s gubernatorial bid.

His withdrawal is part of a broader trend of candidates stepping down from the proportional race in Goiás. Other notable withdrawals include Flávia Teles (PSDB), Pedro Sales (PSD), Cláudio Meirelles (PSB), and Felisberto Tavares (PP).
