Henrique Bravo to lead Soudal-Quick Step Devo at Tour de l’Avenir

Brazilian cyclist Henrique Bravo will lead the Soudal-Quick Step Devo Team in the upcoming Tour de l’Avenir, scheduled from August 20 to 26. Bravo, 20, enters the prestigious sub-23 competition following recent victories at the Tour of Antalya, the Oberösterreich Rundfahrt, and the Giro della Valle d’Aosta.

The 2026 edition of the race introduces a new format, allowing development teams to compete alongside national selections. The route covers over 900 kilometers, starting in Normandy, France, and concluding in Italy after a challenging traverse of the Alps.

The race structure features four initial stages suitable for sprinters and breakaway specialists before transitioning to high-mountain terrain. Key challenges include an 11.4-kilometer mountain time trial to Col de Pierre Carrée involving gravel sectors, and a stage featuring nearly 5,000 meters of cumulative elevation ending at the Col de l’Iseran, Europe’s highest paved mountain pass. The event will conclude with a final ascent in Cerasole Reale.
