Henrique Dourado involved in confrontation with Botafogo-PB fans

Veteran striker Henrique Dourado was involved in a confrontation with Botafogo-PB supporters following a match against Maringá in the Série C quadrangular final. During the incident at Almeidão stadium in João Pessoa, Dourado was struck in the head by a bottle thrown from the stands.

The confrontation occurred as the team's recent performance has significantly diminished their chances of promotion to Série B. Following the altercation, Dourado issued a statement on social media, claiming the physical aggression motivated his reaction. He denied using obscene gestures, stating he was responding exclusively to the individual who attacked him, though he acknowledged making a gesture toward the fans.
