Henrique Lemos faces former club Corinthians in U-17 championship final

Henrique Lemos, a 16-year-old midfielder and son of professional player Fagner, played for Cruzeiro against his former club, Corinthians, in the first leg of the Brazilian U-17 Championship final at Neo Química Arena.

Lemos, who previously played in the Corinthians youth categories and served as the U-15 captain, joined Cruzeiro in February 2025 following his father's transfer to the Minas Gerais club. He entered the match as a second-half substitute during Corinthians' 3-0 victory.

The young player, who has represented the Brazilian U-15 national team, recently signed a professional contract with Cruzeiro running through March 2029. This appearance marked his return to competitive play following a period sidelined by injury.
