Henry Bolte hits home run and steals three bases in Athletics win
Oakland Athletics rookie Henry Bolte achieved a rare feat by hitting a home run and stealing three bases in a single game during a 6-5 victory against the Toronto Blue Jays at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento.
Bolte, 23, became the first Athletics player to record at least three stolen bases and a home run in the same game since Rickey Henderson accomplished the feat on October 5, 1991. The performance included three walks and three runs scored.
The game was decided in the ninth inning when Jeff McNeil hit a walk-off single to secure the win for the Athletics, overcoming a situation where the team had previously held a four-run lead. The Blue Jays, currently contending for an American League wild-card spot, saw home runs from Andres Gimenez, Alejandro Kirk, and Kazuma Okamoto.
