Henry Cavill films ‘Highlander’ remake in Hong Kong

Actor Henry Cavill is currently in Hong Kong filming the remake of the classic action film ‘Highlander’. The production has been utilizing various locations across the city, including Central, Hung Hom waterfront, and local street settings designed to resemble traditional stalls and neon-lit environments.

Recent filming in Central involved a futuristic disco scene featuring approximately 200 extras. The production also captured intense action sequences in narrow alleys, where Cavill performed scenes involving heavy makeup and close encounters with vehicles. Actor Zhang Jin also participated in the shoot, performing scenes alongside Cavill.

Earlier filming at the Hung Hom waterfront featured a sequence set in a futuristic 2040 Hong Kong, incorporating fireworks and fire-dancing performances. Despite facing challenges such as heavy rain and high temperatures while wearing heavy costumes, the crew continued production to complete the scheduled scenes.
