Henry Coates wins historic PDC Players Championship 25

Henry Coates, a 20-year-old darts player from Matlock, England, made history by winning Players Championship 25. He is only the fifth player to secure a PDC ranking title without holding a professional Tour Card.

Coates entered the tournament as a reserve after spots became available. Following his victory, he is now aiming to secure a permanent PDC Tour Card. He noted that if he qualifies for the upcoming World Darts Championship and wins at least two matches, he could earn a card through the world rankings.

Coates' interest in the sport began at the age of two, according to his parents, who recalled him playing with a magnetic dartboard as a toddler.
