Henry Constantin detained in Cuba

Henry Constantin, the editor-in-chief of the independent news outlet La Hora de Cuba and recipient of the 2026 Civil Rights Defender of the Year Award, has been detained by Cuban authorities.

Reports indicate Constantin was detained in Camagüey following a verbal summons.
