Henry Martin to return to TC2000 racing at El Zonda

Henry Martin, the 1997 TC2000 champion, is set to return to competitive racing at the El Zonda-Eduardo Copello circuit. His participation will take place during the eighth round of the 2026 season, scheduled from September 25 to 27.

Martin will drive a Toyota Corolla Cross for the Corsi Sport team, marking his first appearance in the category since 2007. This return represents a significant technical shift for the driver, moving from the sedans of his championship era to modern 500-horsepower turbo SUVs. He will share the team structure with driver Gabriel Ponce de León.

Throughout his career, Martin achieved 19 victories in 155 races within the TC2000 category. His history with the El Zonda circuit is notable, having secured two victories there during his 1997 championship season. After retiring from professional racing in 2015 following the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, Martin has been residing in Spain.
