Henry Martín discusses potential Mexico national team return

Club América striker Henry Martín has expressed his desire to return to the Mexico national football team following a conversation with head coach Rafael Márquez. The 33-year-old forward, who has dealt with injuries that impacted his recent performance, noted that during Márquez's visit to the América training facilities, the coach did not rule out his future involvement with the squad.

Martín stated that while he maintains the aspiration to represent his country, his current priority is to regain his peak physical and competitive form. He acknowledged the high level of competition within the national team's attacking lineup, which includes players such as Raúl Jiménez, Santiago Giménez, and Armando González.

At the club level, Martín also commented on the increased internal competition at América, specifically mentioning the arrival of Miguel Borja, which he believes will prevent complacency within the squad.
