Henry Pollock remains open to offers amid Northampton contract talks
England back-row player Henry Pollock is weighing his future options as contract negotiations with Northampton Saints continue. Pollock’s current deal is set to expire at the end of the upcoming campaign.
While Northampton Saints expressed confidence that a re-signing will occur, the 21-year-old has stated he is “open to every opportunity,” including playing overseas in France or Japan or exploring different sports. Pollock noted that he must be “quite selfish” regarding his career decisions, given the short duration of a professional athlete's tenure.
Pollock’s commercial interests are managed by Eddie Hearn of Matchroom. Hearn has characterized the player as a “seven-figure player,” though reports suggest a potential new deal could be worth approximately £450,000 per year. A move abroad would likely result in the loss of his England central contract, though a deal starting in the 2027-28 season would not necessarily preclude him from the next Rugby World Cup.
