Henry Ramos Allup criticizes opposition dialogue commission composition

Henry Ramos Allup, national general secretary of Acción Democrática (AD) in resistance, has criticized the composition of the opposition dialogue commission. He stated that the commission, formed by members of the 2015 National Assembly, does not fully represent the various organizations within the Plataforma Unitaria Democrática (PUD).

Ramos Allup noted that out of eight parties in the PUD, only two are currently represented in the delegation. He specifically mentioned the absence of Acción Democrática, Vente Venezuela, the supporters of María Corina Machado, and other groups such as Proyecto Venezuela and La Causa R.

While expressing dissatisfaction with the current structure, Ramos Allup indicated that they will not seek to collapse the commission but will instead wait for the results of the process. He emphasized that because the representation does not align with previous agreements made in Panama, the party cannot fully endorse the adopted mechanism.
