Henry W. Lorton charged with murder in Gasconade County

Henry W. Lorton, 36, of Owensville, has been charged with second-degree murder and three counts of first-degree assault following a fatal incident in Gasconade County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control investigated a disturbance on September 13, 2026, near the 100 block of North 1st Street in Owensville. Upon arrival, officers discovered 21-year-old Trey R. Johnson deceased and three other adults injured.

Following an interview, investigators identified Lorton as a person of interest and subsequently arrested him. He is currently being held at the Franklin County Jail without bond pending formal proceedings.
