Hensoldt secures avionics contract for electric flying taxis

Hensoldt, the Munich-based sensor and radar specialist, has secured a contract from India’s ePlane Company to provide avionics for the e200X, an electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) flying taxi. This contract marks the company's expansion from traditional defense systems into the emerging urban air mobility market.

Despite this technological milestone, Hensoldt's stock has faced recent downward pressure. The share price recently fell below its 200-day moving average, reflecting a broader sector-wide trend affecting defense stocks. While the company has seen a 10 percent increase since the beginning of the year, it remains significantly below its previous record high.
