hep global begins construction on 12.6 MWp solar park in Bavaria

hep global GmbH has commenced construction on a 12.6 MWp solar park in Mintraching, Bavaria. Located near Regensburg, the project covers approximately 12.2 hectares alongside the Passau–Obertraubling railway line.

The facility will include an integrated 8.6 MWh battery storage system with a power output of 4.3 MW, designed to store surplus energy for flexible grid injection. Once commissioned at the end of 2026, the park is expected to generate roughly 14.4 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually, sufficient to power approximately 4,200 households.

Due to suspected archaeological structures at the site, the Bavarian State Office for Monument Protection has issued a permit subject to specific conditions. Construction is currently being monitored by archaeological specialists to protect potential ground monuments.
