hep global begins construction on largest German solar park
hep global has commenced construction on the Buckeläcker solar park near Eppingen, marking the company’s largest solar project in Germany to date. Spanning approximately 30 hectares, the facility is expected to generate 38 million kWh of solar electricity annually, which is sufficient to meet the energy needs of roughly 10,800 households.
The project includes a green energy storage system with a capacity of 20.3 MWh and a power output of 10 MW. This storage capability will allow the captured solar energy to be fed into the regional grid during periods of higher electricity prices. The electricity will be integrated into the network via the newly constructed Hohenstein substation.
Construction is being coordinated by ZaberSolar GmbH, with completion projected for the first half of 2027.
