HEPA Plus launches $3,000 seed fund for herbal medicine research at KNUST

HEPA Plus announced an initial US$3,000 seed funding award to support research and innovation in herbal medicine. The grant is part of the newly created HEPA Plus Awards Scheme (HAS) and was unveiled at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) during celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of the university’s Department of Herbal Medicine.

Founder Dr. Ebenezer Agyemang said the scheme will provide funding, mentorship and career‑development opportunities for students, researchers and practitioners, aiming to promote evidence‑based herbal medicines, create jobs and foster business opportunities. The seed capital is supplied through HEPA Plus and its flagship brands, Pavi and Plasmox, to finance promising research projects.
