Hera upgrades water main in San Pietro in Casale, Italy

Hera will replace a 160‑metre section of the water main on via Cesare Battisti in San Pietro in Casale. The work, covering the stretch between via Matteotti and via 24 Maggio, starts on Monday 13 July and is slated to finish around mid‑September. At the same time all customer connections will be renewed, and the new pipe will be linked to the existing network to improve efficiency and lower the risk of service interruptions that have occurred over the past two years.

To limit impact on local traffic, the utility and the municipality have scheduled the work for the summer months. During construction parking will be prohibited on the north side of via Battisti between via 24 Maggio and via XX Settembre, and on both sides between via XX Settembre and via Giacomo Matteotti. A temporary alternating one‑way traffic system, controlled by signals, will be in force along the entire work zone.
