Heraklion: 15-year-old in critical condition after motorcycle accident

A 15-year-old boy is in critical condition in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of the University General Hospital of Heraklion following a serious motorcycle accident in the Viannos area of Crete.

The accident occurred on Saturday night when the teenager was riding a motorcycle belonging to a friend. The vehicle reportedly veered off course during a turn and struck rocks, causing severe head injuries. Reports indicate that the minor was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident, despite local residents noting that he typically wore protective gear when riding his own moped.

Medical staff are closely monitoring the teenager, who is currently intubated. His condition remains extremely serious as doctors work to stabilize him.
