Heraklion Municipal Council faces protests over meeting schedules

Opposition members and citizens in Heraklion are protesting changes to the Municipal Council's meeting schedule. The local administration has moved sessions from the traditional 18:00 slot to earlier afternoon hours, such as 15:00 and 16:00.

Members of the People's Rally, including Douloufakis and Androulakis, argue that these changes prevent working municipal councilors and citizens from participating in sessions. They claim the new timing effectively excludes those with standard working hours, suggesting the council is becoming accessible only to professional politicians and those with flexible schedules.
