Heraklion Municipality to host 3rd Volunteering Festival

The Municipality of Heraklion has announced the 3rd Volunteering Festival, scheduled to take place from September 25 to 27 at Agia Aikaterini Square. Under the theme ‘All together a hug – The power of volunteering,’ the event aims to raise awareness about volunteerism, attract new volunteers, and connect various social groups within the municipality.

The festival will feature 25 different volunteer groups, associations, and social organizations. Each day of the three-day event is dedicated to a specific aspect of volunteering: volunteering that ‘saves,’ volunteering that ‘hugs,’ and volunteering that ‘protects.’

Cultural performances will support the event, including the Heraklion Municipal Philharmonic, various dance troupes, and musical acts. Additionally, a voluntary blood donation drive organized by AIMATOKRITI will be held on Saturday, September 26, at the Loggia.
