Herbelin and Frederique Constant announce new moon phase watches

Several watch manufacturers have announced new timepieces featuring moon phase complications.

French brand Herbelin has introduced the Newport Automatic Moon Phases, the first model in its history to feature a double moon phase mechanism. This design displays the lunar phases as seen from both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. The collection includes a 40.5mm men's version and a 35mm women's version, utilizing an automatic movement co-developed with Swiss manufacturer Sellita that offers a 65-hour power reserve.

Frederique Constant has unveiled two new models at Geneva Watch Days. The Highlife Moonphase Date features a 39mm steel case and an automatic Cal. FC-716 movement with a 72-hour power reserve. Additionally, the brand introduced the Classic Moneta Hand-Winding, the first mechanical model in its collection, which utilizes a movement manufactured by La Joux-Perret under the Citizen Group. This limited edition model features a 63-hour power reserve and a smoked salmon gradient dial.
