Herbert Kickl advocates for remigration at FPÖ event
During a traditional FPÖ gathering at the Hartberg Oktoberfest, Freedom Party leader Herbert Kickl advocated for ‘remigration’ as a core vision for Austria’s future. Addressing approximately 3,500 attendees, Kickl stated that citizens should not be led to believe that remigration is ‘something indecent.’ He described the upcoming National Council election as a ‘fateful election’ and expressed his ambition to lead the country as Chancellor, calling for a ‘system change.’
Styrian Governor Mario Kunasek also spoke at the event, warning of the dangers posed by ‘political Islam’ and suggesting that those who conflict with local values should leave the country. Kunasek praised the cooperation with the state-level coalition partner, the ÖVP, noting that the parties are focused on work rather than conflict. Kickl further emphasized his goal to make Austria the ‘least attractive asylum location in all of Europe.’
