Herbert Kickl launches FPÖ autumn tour across Austria

FPÖ leader Herbert Kickl has launched his 2026 autumn tour, “Wir sind für Euch da,” with stops in East Tyrol and Carinthia. During his speeches, Kickl heavily criticized the Austrian federal government, accusing it of prioritizing the interests of migrants, the EU, Ukraine, and NATO over the needs of the domestic population.

Key points of his criticism included migration policy, rising energy costs, and inflation. Kickl warned of a “bad awakening” regarding energy prices this coming winter and dismissed government relief measures as a “cheap joke.” He also targeted the government's stance on Ukraine and EU sanctions.

In Carinthia, local FPÖ officials expressed optimism regarding upcoming municipal elections, suggesting the party expects significant gains as citizens seek political change in response to economic pressures and perceived failures in healthcare and family support.
