Herceg Novi hosts fourth vintage car rally in Portonovi
The fourth Herceg Novi vintage car rally took place in Portonovi, Kumbor, featuring 57 classic vehicles, including 52 cars and five motorcycles. The event brought together participants from Montenegro and across the region, including Split, Dubrovnik, Konavle, Prizren, and Dečani.
Organized by the Herceg Novi Oldtimer Club and the Volkswagen Beetle Lovers NGO, with support from the Municipality of Herceg Novi, the gathering was held in observance of Liberation Day and the Municipality Day of Herceg Novi. The event showcased restored vehicles, such as legendary Volkswagen Beetles, highlighting the technical and cultural heritage of motoring.
Organizers, including Ljubo Odalović, president of the Herceg Novi Oldtimer Club, expressed the ambition to grow the event into a major traditional gathering that contributes to the city's tourism and cultural offerings. They also noted a desire to improve conditions for the preservation, registration, and use of vintage vehicles in Montenegro.
