Hercegovačko-Neretvanska Županija officials mark start of school year
Officials in the Hercegovačko-Neretvanska Županija (HNŽ) have issued congratulations to students, parents, and educators as the new school year begins. Due to extreme heat, the academic year in this region commenced one week later than in other counties.
Marija Buhač, President of the HNŽ Government, and Mostar Mayor Mario Kordić both addressed the community, with Kordić specifically urging drivers to exercise increased caution and responsibility near schools during student arrival and departure times.
Slavko Bilić, President of the Club of Croatian Deputies, highlighted recent infrastructure investments in the Prozor-Rama municipality. These include 300,000 KM for energy efficiency at the Marko Marulić Primary School in Prozor, 240,000 KM for the Prozor Secondary School, and various renovations to school windows and libraries in Ripci and Uzdol. Additionally, the HNŽ government has provided free textbooks and is implementing curricular reforms to modernize the education system.
