Herdade dos Moreiros opens as boutique tourism retreat in Arronches

Herdade dos Moreiros, a new boutique tourism project, has officially opened in Arronches, Alentejo. Located on a 110-hectare estate near the Spanish border, the property has been transformed from a traditional agricultural site into a luxury accommodation featuring 10 guest rooms.

The project is led by entrepreneur Diamantino Martins in partnership with João Gil and is managed by Amazing Evolution. The development involved renovating former farm buildings, including stables, barns, and machine sheds, into high-end suites. The estate, which has been in the Martins family since the 1970s, emphasizes a connection to the land, local community, and heritage.

Artistic elements are integrated throughout the property, including works by Portuguese artist Basílio and Brazilian artist Isabela Francisco, contributing to the estate's focus on memory and hospitality.
